Depart to visit the Giraffe Centre, where the endangered Rothschild giraffe lives in peace. With an elevated viewing-cum-feeding platform, this tour is also wonderful for children.
Thereafter you will depart to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust situated on the outskirts of Nairobi .The Sanctuary is run by Angela Sheldrick and is set in the grounds of her late mother’s, Dame Daphne Sheldrick’s, house. Here, you will see the orphaned animals and meet the people who handle and care for these animals. It’s an interesting excursion and the team who run the orphanage are always willing to spend time answering any questions guests have to ask.
From here, proceed to the Tamarind Brasserie which is a beautiful garden restaurant for a relaxed lunch before heading to the Karen Blixen Museum.
Once owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror, and based at the foot of the Ngong Hills, the farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s an autobiography by the same title.
